Photocurable Ceramic Suspensions for Large Area Maskless Photopolymerization (LAMP)

Photocurable ceramic suspensions are ceramic-monomer suspensions which polymerize when illuminated by light.  This project engineerings the suspension composition for use in a Large Area Maskless Photopolymerization (LAMP) machine. LAMP, which was created in collaboration with Prof. Suman Das at Georgia Tech, is a novel processing method for complex 3-D parts.   LAMP contains a UV light source which is used to selectively illuminate pixels on the surface of the ceramic suspension.  The UV light causes localized polymerization of the ceramic suspension.  This is used to build ceramic parts directly from CAD files.
