Bigelow elected Fellow of Microscopy Society of America

MSA says Professor Emeritus Wil Bigelow, with more than six decades of contributions and achievements, is "unequaled in the field."

Professor Emeritus Wilbur Bigelow was recently named one eight members of The Microscopy Society of America (MSA) Class of 2019 Fellows. The MSA Fellow designation annually recognizes senior distinguished members of the Society who have made significant contributions to the advancement of the field of microscopy and microanalysis through a combination of scientific achievement and service to the scientific community.

In its official press release, MSA stated, "Wilbur Bigelow is a widely respected electron microscopist who has mentored, performed research and published in the area for over six decades. He is unequaled in the field."

The honor will be conferred on August 5 in Portland, Oregon at the Microscopy & Microanalysis 2019 (M&M 2019) meeting.
